Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in fat with two knives or a pastry blender. Add sweet potatoes and enough milk to make soft dough, Knead lightly, if desired. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness, cut in rounds, and place on a baking sheet. Bake in a hot oven (425 F) for 15 to 20 minutes.
