Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Boil chayote slices in salt water for approximately 15 minutes or until tender.
Butter the inside of a casserole dish that is at least four inches deep.
lay slices flat onto the bottom of the dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pour heavy cream over the top and sprinkle cheese.
Bake until browned. Remove from heat and let cool to warm temperature.
